Electronic Product Redesign

Your product works, but one part is discontinued. Or the price is too high. Or the market needs a version with better performance. Product redesign keeps what works and fixes what doesn't — on products you own or are authorized to redesign — and it's coordinated so the improved version can actually be manufactured.

We work on customer-owned designs, authorized products, and lawful reverse-engineering or redesign projects. We do not manufacture products that infringe third-party intellectual property rights.

If you are not the owner or an authorized party for a design, we cannot help with it — please don’t ask us to copy someone else’s product.

What we coordinate

  • Component substitution — replacing obsolete, long-lead or overpriced parts with reliable alternatives (with your approval)
  • Cost reduction — same function, lower build cost
  • Functional improvement — performance, efficiency, reliability, or new capability
  • Design refresh for manufacturing (DFM)
  • Manufacturing transition — the redesigned product into production

When to use this

An existing product you own needs a part swapped before it's discontinued foreveryour unit cost must come downyou want an improved version of your own producta design needs to move to parts that are actually available

Process

  1. Ownership/authorization confirmed
  2. You tell us the goal (save cost / fix a part / improve function)
  3. We analyze the current design and propose changes
  4. Redesign + prototyping
  5. Test, then production if you want it

Common questions

  • Can you redesign without the original design files?

Often yes — we can work from the physical product (see PCB reverse engineering) or from the files if you have them.

  • How do I know the redesign still works the same?

Changes are tested and validated in prototypes before anything goes to production. We don't ship a silent gamble.

Ready to start your electronics project?

Send your files — or just a rough idea. We'll review your project and tell you the next step.

No files ready yet? That's fine — start the conversation and we'll tell you what's needed.
