Reverse Engineering & Product Redesign
Products age. Designs get lost, parts go obsolete, and manufacturers stop supporting hardware they once built. When you own a product — or you’re authorized to work on it — we can help you recover, document, redesign and improve it. This is lawful engineering work on your own designs, and that boundary is not something we bend.
We work on customer-owned designs, authorized products, and lawful reverse-engineering or redesign projects. We do not manufacture products that infringe third-party intellectual property rights.
If you are not the owner or an authorized party for a design, we cannot help with it — please don’t ask us to copy someone else’s product.
Why customers come to us
- Lost documentation — you have the product but not the design files.
- Obsolete parts — a component is no longer available and something must replace it.
- Cost reduction — you want the same function at a lower build cost.
- Functional improvement — a redesign with better performance, power or reliability.
- No factory support — the original maker won’t or can’t help anymore.
What we can coordinate
- Analysis & documentation — understanding what a product does and producing the documents you’re missing.
- PCB redesign — re-creating and improving a board design from a physical board.
- Product redesign — replacing obsolete parts, cutting cost, or improving function.
- Manufacturing transition — taking the redesigned result into production through PCBA partners we assess and select for the project.
Reverse engineering services

Obsolete parts, cost, function — improving a product you already own.
Product RedesignHow it works
- Confirm ownership/authorization (standard step — we’re upfront about it)
- You send the product, sample, or board
- We analyze and scope the work
- Documentation / redesign with engineering partners
- Prototype & test
- Transition to manufacturing if you want it
Common questions
-
What projects do you take on?
Only products and designs you own or are authorized to work on. If you're not the owner or an authorized party, we can't help — and we'll say so up front.
-
Will you copy someone else’s product for me?
No. If you're not the owner or authorized, we can't help — and we'd rather lose the project than do that.
-
Can you help keep a discontinued product alive?
Often yes — recovering the design and recreating or substituting parts is exactly what this service is for.
Own a product that needs to be understood, rebuilt or improved?
Send your files — or just a rough idea. We'll review your project and tell you the next step.
No files ready yet? That's fine — start the conversation and we'll tell you what's needed.
